Between 2006 and 2008, the Walleighs visited the Republic of South Africa multiple times. While they lived in Swaziland, Rick and Wendy visited Kruger Game Reserve once on their own and again with their son. They visited Cape Town, as beautiful a city as San Francisco; the Winelands–equivalent to Napa-Sonoma Wine Country; and South Africa’s coastal “Garden Route” between Cape Town and Durban.
