Come hear us speak next Thursday about our book, From Silicon Valley to Swaziland: How One Couple Found Purpose & Adventure in an Encore Career. Join us at 7:00pm on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Orinda Books, 276 Village Square, Orinda, CA.
Recently we spoke about our book in Boston and New York City to groups of (much younger than us Boomers!) TechnoServe Alumni. These were very fun evenings meeting with recent returnees from Africa and Latin America, where we all reminisced about our similar experiences. We have a number of book talks coming up at Rotary Clubs, corporate sites, book clubs, etc. Please let us know if there are groups of your friends and colleagues who might enjoy hearing about our adventures in Africa. You may encourage them to download a free excerpt and view our Africa photos on our website and/or follow us on Facebook, Facebook, Twitter, and Good Reads
Some exciting news is that we are sharing our story with thousands of Ernst & Young Alumni and employees who will read all about us and our book, online and in their EY Alumni magazine issue. It is about how Rick’s EY experiences contributed to his success in his encore career. Please go to our Media Coverage page to see where else we have been very pleased to receive attention over the last few months. Recent examples: October 2’s Palo Alto Weekly (pictures only in the hard copy!), as well as articles on Forbes.com, PBS’ Next Avenue, Mercury News’ “Second Act” online, community newspapers (Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Campbell, Los Altos), and Huffington Post among others. Hopefully more to come!
MEANWHILE, bring your family, friends, and neighbors to support us AND Orinda Books, a local independent bookstore which has long-enriched its community. Hope to see you there! Or buy our book at Amazon and any online book retailer, or at Books Inc. Mountain View and Palo Alto. AND please review our book to help our sales and donations to TechnoServe
