Adopted Elephants and Blue-Tongued Giraffes
The Adrian and Diana stayed in Nairobi for a couple more days
than their cousin Nathan. Though all 3 had gotten to feed giraffes at Langata
Sanctuary
only the 4 Walleighs were able to spend quality time with Adrian and Diana's
adopted elephants at Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.
Remember to visit Lewa,
The Mara,
charter plane,
chimps,
gorillas
and pygmies.

It's easy to see why giraffes are well-loved, because they clearly
love you back when they have a chance. All of us who visited the Langata Giraffe Sanctuary were literally touched by their friendliness-- and their long, sticky, slobbery, blue tongues! |

Having
experienced a giraffe mouth, we had to compare & contrast with an elephant's. |
It's hard to
capture good perspective on an elephant tugging at your feet. |
If an elephant
wants you to come closer, he just needs to pull. |

rhinos, too, especially when they're in a confined space and cannot attack you. |
The warthogs
have special privileges at Sheldrick whenever they choose. |
