EXTENDED FAMILY
In
June 2010, though I could not capture the Maryland
evenings' magical fireflies covering the trees all night long
like endless
sparkling Christmas lights, there are some nice pictures from when we attended
Rick's M.I.T. Reunion
after 40 years
as well as our niece
Becca's wedding shower.
We took a 4-day trip in May to Boston to celebrate the
80th
birthday
of my
uncle, the
Diamond Family
Patriarch. Rick and Wendy went
skiing in Jackson Hole
in early March
with Adrian, Diana and friends.
Christmas 2009,
like 2008, was in Greenville, NC with Rick, Wendy and
Adrian flying in to see Dr. Diana between her many hospital shifts.
But we had a great time with her, Bryan (boyfriend), Dakota (new rescued doggie)
and Mimi (rescued kitty), and her friends/colleagues.
The extended Walleighs (and Diamonds on Wendy's side) live in
California,
Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Virginia.
Despite the slightly negative article title,
Rick enjoyed his 15 minutes of fame in the Online
Wall Street Journal
with his TechnoServe story
including his (and Adrian's) picture in full Swazi costume.
