Friends

Come meet the several groups of friends who form key circles in our lives: College, Gourmet (see 2010 adventures), Playgroup/Book Club.
And there are many other friends we met in both California and the northeastern U.S. who are now woven into the fabric of our family.

		Besides the MIT Reunion and spending time with Adrian and family, we spent some time with Wendy's college friends in Boston & Philadelphia.

		4 close college friends and their husbands spent a lovely 2 days over New Year's celebrating 40 years of friendship in a glorious *winter setting north of NYC.*

		Kenyan friends visit California
		Pauline and Judy, 2 good friends from Kenya were accepted into a special leadership training program through Global Women's Leadership Network (www.gwln.org), affiliated with Santa Clara University. While they stayed with us before and after the residential program they enjoyed the Deluxe Walleigh Tour of the Bay Area.

		*3 weddings & 1 reunion*
		It was a season for celebrations: Rick and I flew to Seattle and Boston and drove to Yosemite and Berkeley to attend *3 weddings of friends and "B" School reunion*.

*college friends tour wine country*
		College friends and their husbands joined us for an extended visit to wine country. We drank great wine and champagne, ate food at the top restaurants, and amazed ourselves that we all fit into the van at the end! Also view our previous celebrations on the East Coast!

*friends help celebrate Wendy's 60th!*
	40 friends in the Bay Area helped Wendy usher in her "Big 6-O". The party required everyone to cook for themselves--and each other--as a way to integrate all our different groups of friends. See the whole celebration!

*Golden Gate Gourmet Group (aka Gourmet Trocadero)*
	To celebrate Glenne's 65th birthday (Far L Glenne & Dave), Gourmet Group drove down to Santa Barbara for great food, wine (Center L Roberta, Mark, Garner), and fun at the beach (L Kellys, Linskys, Guerras). Visit our other Gourmet experiences!

*Friends from the Playgroup and Women's Book Club*
	Over the almost 30 years we've been close to many of these friends from pre-school, play groups, the book club, we've had many fun experiences, which carry on now! For example, with Chris & Brian we carried on the old family tree-cutting tradition and enjoyed our "Book Club Retreat" on the beach in Jenner, CA.
